Contract Type:

Water Damage Restoration

Contract Value:

Whiteford CBS were appointed to facilitate the restoration of a Grade II* listed building on The Hackwood Estate on behalf of the Qatar Royal Family.  A burst water pipe on the first floor caused extensive flood damage to the ground floor ceilings and rooms.

The bespoke nature of this project necessitated specialist contractors in all the phases of restoration.

Water ingress caused major staining and damage to the ornate cornicing moulded fireplace, rose moulded chandelier, decorated wallpaper, ceilings and timber flooring.

The damaged ornate cornicing and mouldings were taken away for specialist restoration, and reinstated. The renovation works were carried out to a very high standard necessary for a property of this grandeur.

Decoration was undertaken to both the internal and external finishes as well as the renewal of external joinery and rainwater goods. Kitchen and bathrooms were renewed, along with the replacement of heating and electrical services.

Provisions were made for protection to the vulnerable areas such as the fireplaces and kitchen until the time of completion.
