Whiteford CBS were appointed to the enabling works for this former stable block built  c 1886. Extensive fire damage to the ashlar block work, Kentish ragstone and the hipped roofs and pedimented dormers.

A fire commenced in the roof void caused extensive damage to the roof and upper structure and subsequent water damage to the remainder of the property.  The result of this was the property was needed stripping out and preparatory works prior to rebuilding.  The remaining plaster to internal and external walls was removed as instructed in the Specification and all defective electrical and plumbing services were also removed. In preparation for the first stages of restoration the debris from the sight was cleared and we facilitated the necessary scaffolding, perimeter fencing, access routes and safety precautions.

Whiteford CBS took responsibility for managing site issues such as material storage and waste management, public safety, traffic management, removal of hazardous material such as asbestos and insuring health and safety precautions were in place.

The buildings were subsequently sold and restored by a private developer.
